12mm Galvanised Turnbuckle

Price:£39.99

3/4" x 18" Take up

As part of any zip wire you will need some form of tensioner to tension up the zip wire cable. This drop forged, high tensile steel, jaw - jaw zip wire open turnbuckle tensioner has also been hot dipped galvanised to protect from rust and is ideal to use with 12mm zip wire cable.

This galvanised zip wire open turnbuckle tensioner comes in a take up size of 18" and allows for tension to be put into the wire when used in conjunction with some zip wire cable strops.

Tensioner comes complete with nuts on the opening bars instead of pins, making it much safer to use.

We strongly recommend you consider the use of one of these Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire with your turnbuckle.

Please see and read below about the safe use of turnbuckles before and after installation and remember to make sure that you regularly inspect the turnbuckle for any signs of wear or tear and any damage.

Safe use of turnbuckles before and after installation:

Turnbuckles should be inspected before use to ensure that:
  • The threads of the body and the end fittings are of the same type
  • The threads of the body and the end fittings are undamaged
  • The body and end fittings are not distorted or unduly worn
  • The body and end fittings are free from nicks, gouges and cracks.

Furthermore, it must be ensured that the end fittings are correctly screwed into the body. Always use the locking nuts supplied to prevent the turnbuckles from unscrewing where applicable.

While tensioning, the forces on the turnbuckle must not be such that any deformation occurs. In case of deformation, the tension should be decreased immediately and deformed parts should be replaced.

Please remember to make sure that you regularly inspect the turnbuckle for any signs of wear or tear and any damage.
