TURNBUCKLE BACKUP SAFETY WIRE

At all times when using a zip wire, safety should be paramount and at the forefront of your thoughts.

To that end we offer a unique product that all zip wires (those that are using a turnbuckle) should really be using - a Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire.

The idea of this extra piece of wire is to act as an extra piece of safety in your zip wire equipment.

The Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire is a 2.5m piece of 10mm galvanised wire that has had both ends rolled and fused which stops the wire from splaying and keeps the wire permanently as one piece.

You need to eliminate the risk of the turnbuckle failing. By this we mean the ends of the turnbuckle popping out when under tension. It's a very small risk, but one worth eliminating for such a small price and giving you piece of mind.

Simply feed the wire through the thimble eyes of the strop that connect to the turnbuckle at one end and the thimble eye on the end of the wire that connects to the other end of the turnbuckle.

Then overlap the wire. Using the enclosed 4x wire grips, place them spaced out evenly along the overlap (as per the diagram) and then after removing as much slack as possible, tighten them in place.
