What's in the box:

Please find below a list of items that you will find in the box. It's worth noting that you will receive two deliveries for your zip wire kit. 1x will be the wire and strop which is made and cut to order from our wire manufacturer in the West Midlands and 1x will be all the hardware for the kit which comes directly from The Zip Wire Company.

Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire:

Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire:

At all times when using a zip wire, safety should be paramount and at the forefront of your thoughts. To that end we offer a unique product that all zip wires (those that are using a turnbuckle) should really be using - a Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire.

The idea of this extra piece of wire is to act as an extra piece of safety in your zip wire equipment. The Turnbuckle Backup Safety Wire is a 2.5m piece of 10mm galvanised wire that has had both ends rolled and fused which stops the wire from splaying and keeps the wire permanently as one piece.

You need to eliminate the risk of the turnbuckle failing. By this we mean the ends of the turnbuckle popping out when under tension. It's a very small risk, but one worth eliminating for such a small price and giving you piece of mind.

Simply feed the wire through the thimble eyes of the strop that connect to the turnbuckle at one end and the thimble eye on the end of the wire that connects to the other end of the turnbuckle. Then overlap the wire.

Using the enclosed 4x wire grips, place them spaced out evenly along the overlap (as per the diagram) and then after removing as much slack as possible, tighten them in place.

'A small price to pay for piece of mind and the safety of all users.'

Self Installation:

Alternatively, we have made this range of kits easy to install and by following the simple generic fitting instructions which come supplied with the kit, this zip line can be installed by two or three people and be ready for use in around 120 mins or less.

If you are thinking of intstalling your new zip wire kit yourself, then one thing that you will need to consider is that doesn't how long the run, you will need to put tension into the (wire) run. Now normally we would be more than happy to offer you our complete installation kit, but unfortunately due to having a run on them in the last few months, we have completley sold out. Although we do have some more on order from our manufacturers, they are unlikely to be here until at least January 2025.

So please, consider how you are going to add this tension to you wire.

How to measure what size Strop to order:

Please follow these simple instructions to help you:

To work out the size of strop and the way you work out what size you need to order for the receiving end crossbar, follow the simple instructions below:

1) Measure the circumference size of the support crossbar and double the measurement (48cm x 2 = 96cm)
2) Then add on 40cm (96cm + 40cm = 136cm)
3) Round this up to 140cm
3) The size of strop you need to order is 1.40m

How much wire do I need to order:

When measuring for the length of wire that you require, please follow these simple instructions to help you:

1) Start by measuring the distance from the support crossbar at the receiving end to the sending end tree
2) Now measure the circumference of the sending end tree to be used
3) Add together both these measurements and then add on at least another 3m (39m + 3m = 42m)
4) Round up to the nearest 5m to find the amount you need to order (42m rounded up to 45m) - amount of wire to order.
5) You can always cut this wire using good bolt cutters or an angle grinder (put electrical tape around wire before cutting)

It is always best to over order on wire (allowing for slackness in the wire) than under order.
